Before the COVID-19 epidemic started, had you even heard of the term social distancing? Many of us never did, but now it seems like we hear it mentioned on the news every single day. The idea is that by limiting contact with others, staying at least six feet away from one another and avoiding handshakes and hugs the spread of the coronavirus could be limited. While you might feel that you are a healthy person you have many in your life who aren’t. Grandparents, parents and anyone over the age of 70, as well as those that have underlining underlying heart issues diabetes, are all at increased risk of dying if they contract the coronavirus. It’s your responsibility to make sure that does not happen. Limiting ourselves and our social interactions with others for a short period for a time is definitely worth the sacrifice. Coping with these limitations will save many lives.
