When you decide it’s time for some spring cleaning, one of the tasks on your list might be to bring order to the growing collection of socks spilling out of your drawer. Never store all of your socks loosely. Not only does this take up a lot more space, but it also makes it hard to find the pair you’re looking for when you need it. A great way to save a ton of space in your sock drawer is learning to fold them.
There are a few methods to choose from, so pick whichever you like best. One method is to simply lay two socks on top of one another, then fold them into thirds, fourths, or fifths, depending on the length of the sock. Another more complex, but more attractive method, is the square fold. Start by laying your socks across each other in an ‘X’ shape, then fold the toes over and tuck them underneath.
