Once of the many practical aspects of a home is lighting to make it livable once the sun sets, but lighting can do more than just serve it’s practical purpose. A well chosen and placed light can make a beautiful accent or decoration in a space. So here are some tips to achieve just that.
Dont install lights too high or low. This is most especially true of pendant lighting. Often times, hanging pendant lights disappear up into the ceiling instead of filling a space with their appearance and glow. If you’re hanging lighting over a counter, set it to float just 30 or so inches above the surface. But hanging lights over walking spaces should have at least 7 feet of clearance. When it comes to lamps, create the ideal abience by linging up the bottom of the lampshade with the eye level of your sitting guests to allow your them to see each other in the light, without it filling the entire room.
